The lamp Kala belongs to the Augsburg collection. The lamps of this collection are made of organic cotton, carefully dyed in natural colors.
The production of the lamps from this material is unusual and technically very complex. Both the cutting of the bottles and the weaving of the lamp is done entirely by hand and requires a high level of craftsmanship.
The entire manufacturing process takes several days from start to finish until we have a lamp that meets our expectations.
The lamp Kala can be configured with several colors, both for the fabrics of the lamp itself and for the power cables.
The procedure
The lamp-making process is completely manual. It starts with identifying and marking the plastic bottles that will be used for the lamp's core.
Then, the plastic bottles are carefully cut with scissors.
At the same time, organic cotton lines are hand-rolled onto rattan fibers to create the piece that is later mounted onto the cut plastic bottles.
The result is a unique lamp that will impress anyone who sees it.
