Hands are at the heart of what makes our lamps truly unique.

The kokoi lamps are entirely handmade by artisans who have learned over the years to work with the finest materials such as silk, ebony and wool.

No to mass production!

We could easily outsource the production of our lamps to China or other Southeast country to save cost, but we don't. We believe in the importance of supporting local businesses and the value of handmade products.

Due to the local production of our lamps in Germany and the manual work, we not only ensure fair wages and working conditions for our artisans, but we also maintain the highest quality standards and offer unique one-offs that mass products cannot duplicate.

At kokoi, we believe that handmade is not just a production method, but also a way of preserving traditional craftsmanship and supporting the livelihoods of our artisans. By investing in their skills and expertise, we are able to offer lamps that not only light up our spaces, but also tell a story about the people and traditions behind their manufacture.

The materials used to make the lamps - wicker and organic cotton - are not the same as those used by our artisans in their countries of origin.

But the importance of the craftsmanship of the artisans has remained the same. Each lamp is made with great attention to detail so that each piece is unique and beautiful in its own way.

Our commitment

We are so confident in the quality of our products that we offer a lifetime guarantee on every single Kokoi lamp. Yes, you read that right: a lifetime guarantee!
